Global Professionals in Indonesia is a group of Expatriates living in Indonesia with a passion for transformational community development. We hold backgrounds in Sustainable Agriculture and Applied Technologies, English Teaching, Business, Interfaith dialogue, Bee Keeping, Community Health, Applied Anthropology, Peace and Reconciliation Work, Group Fitness, Animal Husbandry and more.
HONOR
GPI seeks to honor not only the local customs and governance of where we work, but also to honor God by respecting religious and ethnic diversity. We aim to model peaceful and harmonious interactions with those of different religious and ethnic backgrounds. EMPOWER
The central belief of GPI is empowerment leads to lasting flourishing. GPI seeks to empower individuals with resources and opportunities for collaboration that lead to long-term solutions for social problems. GPI believes that empowerment happens when individuals know their worth and are enabled to create their own results.
INSPIRE
GPI believes that change is inspired through upholding local ways of solving problems. Solutions to social problems rarely originate “from the outside” but rather come from time-tested methods that are context-determined. GPI seeks to inspire change by joining, collaborating, and investing in local stakeholders working for sustainable development.
TRANSFORM
Development done well brings sustainable transformation. GPI works alongside communities to determine best practices for wholistic flourishing. We believe that lasting transformation occurs when, through good development, people say “we have done this ourselves” (Lao Tsu). GPI focuses on wholistic approaches rather than quick fixes.
